The Delaware 87ers announced Wednesday, they have traded Von Wafer to the Westchester Knicks for Devondrick Walker.
Walker is a 6 foot 5 guard who was averaging 10 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, one steal and shot 15 of 16 from the free throw line this season in 21 minutes of play with the Knicks. The 6 foot 5 guard played college basketball at Texas A&M University-Commerce and earned a Lone Star Conference All-Second Team selection in his senior year. He averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and one steal in 28 minutes per game in his last year at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Von Wafer had only been with the Sevens for a couple of weeks after signing with them as a free agent. Wafer’s last game as a Seven was on December 10th when he played 20 minutes, scored 0 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in the game vs Grand Rapids.
