Eugene Burroughs named new head coach for 87ers
The Delaware 87ers announced Thursday that Eugene Burroughs will be their new head coach going into the 2016-2017 season. Burroughs comes from the Sevens affiliate the Philadelphia 76ers where he was a shooting coach for the past two seasons. Burroughs is a native of Philadelphia and went to high school at Episcopal Academy. Before joining the Sixers staff the Philly native coached at Penn State, Marist, Navy, American University, and Hofstra. The coaching change is a part of a swap the Sixers are doing with the Sevens to give everyone a chance to experience both aspects of the game.
