Delaware Blue Coats Announce 2019 Open Tryout Dates

Do you have what it takes to compete against the best players in the NBA?

If you answered yes to the question, the Delaware Blue Coats want to see your basketball skills at their tryouts.

Blue Coats are the G-League affiliate of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.

Every participant in the open tryouts will be evaluated by Blue Coats General Manager Matt Lilly, Head Coach Connor Johnson and the 76ers/Blue Coats basketball operations staff, according to the team’s press release.

The Blue Coats are holding three tryouts this year ( one in Delaware & two in Pennsylvania):

Schedule of Tryouts:

Saturday, Sept. 7th

76ers Fieldhouse

401 Garasches Lane, Wilmington, DE, 19801

8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

 

Saturday, September 14th

Wilson High School

2601 Grandview Blvd., Reading, PA, 19609

8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

 

Saturday, September 21st

Temple University, McGonigle Hall

1800 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA, 19121

8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

There is a $175 registration fee and if a participant signs up late or the day of the tryouts it is $200.

Registration includes official Blue Coats tryout jersey, two tickets to a future Blue Coats game and an invitation to an exclusive NBA G League event during the 2018-19 season.

Also, if you decide to make your payment the day of the event it must be made by cash, money order or cashier’s check and made payable to Delaware Blue Coats.

Making Dreams Come True

Since 2013, 23 players from the Delaware’s open tryouts have been invited to NBA G League Training Camp and 15 have made the regular season roster.
