The Delaware 87ers will be feeling the force Friday night and all for a good cause. Sevens will be hosting a Star Wars night to benefit Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children on Friday, January 6th at 7 p.m. when they take on the Erie Bay Hawks at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The Sevens players will wear an special R2-D2 jersey that will be auctioned off to benefit the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Twenty percent of ticket sales will go the the A.I. duPont Hospital.
Along with Star Wars theme on the court, fans can enjoy the Star Wars happening off the court as well. The first 1,500 fans will get a commemorative Darth Vader poster and Star Wars characters will be all around the arena. Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite Star Wars Characters for prizes.
There will also be Star Wars Lego Xbox gaming Systems all around the arena for the fans that was donated by the Microsoft Store in the Christiana Mall. Lucky court side fans will get to enjoy nice Star Wars treats like mini Death Star meatballs in marinara sauce and Obi-Wan cannolis.
The game will also have a Kidzone with multiple inflatables.
