Blue Rocks go 10 innings to earn a 2-1 win over IronBirds

The Wilmington Blue Rocks earned their 21st victory of the season on Wednesday with a 2-1 ten innings win over the Aberdeen IronBirds.

Game stats:

RBIs: Left fielder Yasel Antuna and third base José Sánchez led the team in RBIs with one.

Runs: Shortstop Jordy Barley and designated hitter Gage Canning led the team in runs scored with one.

Hits: Wilmington had a total of four hits in the game. First baseman Omar Meregildo led the team in hits in the win with two.

Stolen bases: Barley stole a base in the win.

Blue Rocks were one for five, with runners in the scoring position in the win. The team left seven runners on base.

Pitching: On the pitching side, starting pitcher Jake Irvin went four innings, gave up three hits, one run, one earned run, three walks, and three strikeouts.

Lucas Knowles came into the game to relieve Irvin, as he went two innings, gave up one hit, three walks, and one strikeout.

Ike Schlabach came in the game for Knowles, as he went one inning, gave up one hit, and one walk.

Zach Brzykcy would come in the game for Schlabach, as he went two innings, gave up one hit, four strikeouts, and earned the win.

Tyler Yankosky closed the game, as he went one inning, one strikeout, and earned the save.
