Blue Coats Christian Wood Named All-NBA G-League Second Team

The NBA G-League announced their 2017-18 All-NBA G League Teams on Monday and one Delaware Blue Coat player made the list.

The Delaware player who was honored was Christian Wood and he was named to the All-NBA G-League Second Team.

Wood almost regularly hit double digits in scoring every game this season and was ranked fourth in the league in that category.

The Delaware forward averaged  23 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in the 2017-2018 season for the Blue Coats.

Wood was on fire towards the end of the season where he scored back to back 40 plus points in a game.

The first one was on March 11th against the Long Island Nets where Wood lit up the Nets for 46 points. The Blue Coat forward also had 19 rebounds in that game.

Then the second 40 plus point performance was against the Maine Red Claws on March 13th where Wood scored 44 points in the game this time.

This is not the first honor the California native has earned for his play in the 2017-2018 season. Wood was named to Midseason All-NBA G League Eastern Conference Team and to All-NBA G League Showcase Second Team.
