Sevens Name Doug Hine as Chief Revenue Officer

The Delaware 87ers announced Thursday that they have hired Doug Hine as Chief Revenue Officer.

Hine was recently at the same position at the Albany Devils, the American Hockey League affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.

Hine is a graduate of West Chester University and started his sports career as a  inside sales representative for the New Jersey Devils. Ever since 2008, Hine went up the ranks of the organization holding titles like Senior Manager and Business Development manager which he landed in 2015.

The former Devils employee led the acquisition of 200 new full season ticket holders, over 150 new plan holders, a 15-percent growth in corporate partnerships and helped Albany finish in the top five in the AHL for new business as Albany’s Chief Revenue Officer.

The 87ers hopes he brings that same success over to them where he will oversea all revenue generation, ticket sales and business development departments at the Sevens.

Sevens Larry Meli thinks that Doug Hine will have a tremendous impact on the Sevens growth.

“We are extremely excited to add Doug and his immense talent to our staff,” said Sevens President Larry Meli. “His character and skillset are fantastic additions to our team. I am confident he will make a profoundly positive impact on our fans and partners alike and be an integral piece in the continued evolution and growth of this franchise.”
