The Wilmington Blue Rocks earned their 11th win of the season on Friday as the team defeated the Greensboro Grasshoppers 3-2.

Alu gets us a W!

With the bases loaded in the eighth inning @jake_alu1 gives the Blue Rocks the lead with a two RBI single. RHP @mg_cronin shuts down the @GSOHoppers in the ninth to get his first save of the year.

Game Stats

The RBIs in the game came from designated hitter Jake Alu (2), and right fielder Gage Canning (1).

Three Blue Rocks players had runs in the win, which were Canning (1), third baseman Gilbert Lara (1), and center fielder Armond Upshaw (1).

Alex Troop came in for Adon as he went 1.1 innings, gave up one hit, one strikeout, and earned the win.

Matt Cronin closed out the game as he went two innings, gave up one hit, one walk, four strikeouts, and earned the save.
