6-0: Brownridge scores 29 as Blue Coats hang on to win 130-127 over Long Island

Blue Coats lead by eight after one-quarter of play

In the first six minutes of this game, it would be a battle as the lead changed hands seven times, and the score would be tied three times. The final lead change during those six minutes came from Jared Brownridge, who made a three-point shot to give Delaware a 20-17 lead with 6:07 left in the first quarter.

Reed’s three-pointer was a buzzer-beating one at the end of the quarter.

Delaware leads by 19 at the end of the first half

As the second quarter started, Delaware would outscore Long Island 19-11, which extended their lead to 57-41 with 6:31 left in the first half. Delaware hangs on to win by three points

The fourth quarter started with Long Island buzzing back with a 21-14 run, which cut the lead to nine points (120-111) with 2:53 left in the game.

Seconds later, the Nets would continue to climb back in this game as the team would go on an 11-5 run to cut the lead to three points ( 125-122) with 53.5 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Long Island’s comeback attempt would come up short as the Blue Coats made five free throw shots to hang on to win 130-127. Jordan Bone would make four of the five free throws shots that Delaware attempted during that time.
