First up is the rookie from DePaul University Paul Reed, who was drafted in the second round (58th overall) by the 76ers.
At DePaul, Reed averaged 10.6 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, and 23.7 minutes per game in three seasons.
In his junior season with the Blue Demons, Reed averaged 15.1 points per game, 2.6 blocks per game,10.7 rebounds per game, and 31.7 minutes per game. Reed’s big season would get him named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll four times and a spot on the Second Team All-Big East team.
Joining Reed will be Dakota Mathias, who already has some G-League experience.
Mathias played last season with the NBA G-League team, the Texas Legends, which is the affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. Mathias averaged 18.1 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game, and 3.1 assists in 42 games with the Legends last season.
The newest Blue Coats player played his college ball at Purdue University, where he averaged 8.1 points per game, 2.9 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 25.6 minutes played in four seasons.
The former Boilermakers player earned numerous awards for his play, which includes two-time Big Ten All-Academic Team (2016 and 2017), Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (2017), and Big Ten All-Defensive Team ( 2016 and 2017).
