The Wilmington Blue Rocks have now won five straight games with their 4-1 victory over the Winston-Salem Dash on Wednesday at Frawely Stadium. The Blue Rocks also swept the three game series with the win on Wednesday.

The RBIs in the game came from first baseman Nick Pratto (1), catcher MJ Melendez (1) and third baseman Dennicher Carrasco (1).
Three Blue Rocks players had runs in the win and they were center fielder Kyle Isbel (1), Pratto (2) and Melendez (1).
Two Wilmington hitters gained a hit in the win and they were Isbel (2) and Melendez (1).
Dennicher Carrasco (1), Nick Pratto (1), shortstop Angelo Castellano (1) and Melendez (1) each recorded a stolen base in the win.
Rocks were one for ten with runners in scoring position and left six men on base in the game.
On the pitching side, Rocks starter Daniel Lynch had a decent outing with five hits, one run, one earned run, four walks and four strikeouts.
Robert Garcia came in the game for Lynch and he was dealing as he went 2.2 innings, one hit, one walk, three strikeouts and earned the win.
Collin Snider would follow Garica’s lead as he was rolling too, as he went two innings, three hits and earned the hold.
Tyler Zuber would close out the game for the pitching staff and he went one inning, one walk,one strike and earned the save.
Rocks Strike First In the First Inning
The Wilmington Blue Rocks did not waste any time getting on the scoreboard as the team scored two runs in the bottom of first inning.
The first run of the inning came from Nick Pratto who grounded out in a force out but it allowed Kyle Isbel to score to give the Rocks a 1-0 lead.
The second run of the inning came from Dennicher Carrasco who was walked at his at bat which allowed Pratto to score to extend Rocks lead to 2-0.
The Dash would get one back in the top of second inning as Zach Remillard had a two out walk which allowed Daniel Gonzalez to score to decrease Rocks lead to 2-1.
Wilmington Adds Two More Runs In The Third Inning & Pitching Seals The Win
The Blue Rocks would create some breathing room as they added two more runs in the bottom of the third inning.
The first run came from MJ Melendez who hit a double to center field which scored Nick Pratto to give the Rocks a 3-1 lead.
The Rocks last run of the game came with some help from Dash’s pitcher Jake Elliott as he threw a wild pitch which allowed Melendez to score to increase his team’s lead to 4-1.
After facing four batter in the fourth inning, Daniel Lynch’s day was done as he went 2.2 innings, one hit, one walk and three strikeouts.
