The NBA G-League announced on Wednesday that Delaware Blue Coats Power Forward/Center Norvel Pelle was named to the 2018-19 NBA G League All-Defensive Team.

In 36 games with the Blue Coats this season, Pelle averaged 11.1 points per game, 8.6 rebounds per game and three blocks per game ( finished in second in the league) in 22.8 minutes per game. Pelle also finished with 104 blocks which was third best in the G-League.

Pelle was a block machine this season as he  recorded multiple blocks in 27 games this season. The Blue Coats Forward/Center also recorded three games (March 4 vs. Fort Wayne, March 9 vs. Grand Rapids and March 11 vs. Westchester) where he had seven blocks in a game which was season high for Pelle.

Pelle has been a familiar name in Delaware as he averaged 17.6 minutes per game, 5.7 rebounds, 2.2 blocks in three seasons with team.

Pelle’s impressive defensive stats this season had him in the top three of voting for Most Improved Player and NBA  G League Defensive Player of the Year
