Delaware Blue Coats up by five points after one-quarter of play
The first four minutes of the opening quarter would belong to the Blue Coats as the team took a 7-4 lead with 8:30 left in the period. The impact player during this run was Braxton Key, as he scored two points and collected four rebounds.
At the 6:56 minute mark, Maine would start on a 6-2 run, which gave them a 10-9 lead with 5:55 left in the first quarter.
Starting at the 4:47 minute mark, Delaware would outscore the Celtics 14-9 to end the first quarter with a 24-19 lead. Shaquille Harrison was the leader of this run as he scored eight of the 14 points.
Rebounding also played a part in the run as the team collected eight rebounds.
Delaware Blue Coats push lead to nine points at the end of the first half
In the first eight minutes of the second quarter, Maine would outscore the Blue Coats 18-15 to cut the lead to two points (39-37) with 4:09 left in the first half.
About a minute later, the duo of Shaquille Harrison and Braxton Key would score nine of 13 points on Delaware’s 13-6 run, which pushed their lead to 52-43 at the end of the first half.
Delaware Blue Coats hold on to a four-point lead after three-quarters of play
In the first two minutes of the second half, the Celtics would come out and score eight straight points to trim the lead to one point (52-51) with 10:48 left in the game.
Maine would continue to be a problem for the Blue Coats in the third quarter as fast forward to the 3:23 minute mark as Brodic Thomas would drain a three-pointer to give his team their first lead (77-75) in the third period.
Seconds later, Delaware would respond by scoring six unanswered points to end the third quarter with an 81-77 lead.
Blue Coats win 111-107!
In the first five minutes and 49 seconds in the final quarter, the Celtics would outscore the Blue Coats 16-10 to grab a 93-91 lead with 6:51 left in the game.
Starting at the 6:14 minute mark, Delaware would outscore Maine 20-14 to seal a 111-107 win! Once again, the duo of Shaquille Harrison and Braxton Key struck on a run as they scored 12 of the 20 points. The Blue Coats made three shots from the three-point line during this time, which came from Jared Brownridge, Braxton Key, and Jaden Springer.
