The Delaware 87ers announced on Monday that they have acquired guard Donte McGill from the available player pool.
McGill attended the Sevens open tryouts earlier this season.
The Philadelphia native started his college career playing basketball at Goldey-Beacom College where averaged 25 minutes per game, 15.1 points per game, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 26 games.
For that season at Goldey-Beacom, McGill was named CACC Rookie of the Year and was a CACC Honorable Mention Team selection.
The newest Delaware 87ers player then transfred to Vincennes University where he averaged 11.5 points per game, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 35 games.
Then the 6 foot 3 inch, 185 pound guard transferred to Florida International where he averaged 33.1 minutes per game, 17.1 points per game, 4.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists in two seasons there.
McGill was drafted earlier this season by the Orlando Magic’s G League affiliate, the Lakeland Magic.
