The Delaware Blue Coats have won back-to-back games to start the 2021 season, as the team defeated the Maine Celtics 114-103 on Friday.
The leading scorer for the Blue Coats was the power forward Jaden Springer, who had 21 points.
Forward Haywood Highsmith would record a double-double in the win with 19 points and ten rebounds.
Five other Delaware players scored in double digits, which were guard Jared Brownridge (12), guard Shaquille Harrison (20), point guard Shamorie Ponds (11), guard Jarron Cumberland (11), and guard Tra-Deon Hollins (10).
Center Braxton Key also collected ten rebounds in the win.
Blue Coats had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included rebounds (45-40), steals (19-4), and turnovers (14-25).
Blue Coats also bested the Celtics at the three-point line, with the team shooting 42%(13-31) and Maine shooting 33% (14-42).
