Still Perfect!: Brownridge scores 24 as Blue Coats move to 4-0 with 127-98 win over Swarm

Blue Coats lead by 12 points after one-quarter of play

The game started with the duo of Kobi Simmons and Admiral Schofield scoring all nine of the Swarm’s points on their 9-4 run with only two minutes burned off the clock in the first quarter.

At the 9:08 minute mark, Delaware would answer back in a big way as the team went on a 19-7 run, which gave them a 23-16 lead with 3:27 left in the first quarter. The trio of Paul Reed, Justin Robinson, and Jared Brownridge would score 13 of the 19 points on the run.

Rebounding was also a key on the run as the team collected 12 rebounds.

Seconds later, the Blue Coats would continue to add to their lead as the team outscored Greensboro 13-8 to end the first quarter with a 36-24 lead. Rayjon Tucker would be the leading scorer on that run for Delaware as he scored five of the 13 points.

The three-point shot was a key for the 13-8 run as the Blue Coats drained two of them, which came from Brownridge and Jordan Bone.

Delaware leads by 14 at the end of the first half

In the first three minutes of the second quarter, Delaware would outscore the Swarm 11-8, which pushed their lead to 47-32 with 9:19 left in the first half. Julian Washburn was the leader of this run as he scored five of the 11 points. The Blue Coats remained hot from the three-point line as the team made two during the run, which came from Washburn and Justin Robinson.

About a minute later, Greensboro would outscore Delaware 19-13, which cut the lead to nine points (60-51) with 3:18 left in the first half.

Seconds later, Delaware would go on a 12-7 run, which extended their lead to 72-58 at the end of the first half.

Blue Coats lead by 18 after three quarters

As the second half started, the Blue Coats did not waste any time adding to their lead as the team went on a 14-8 run, which gave them a 86-66 lead with 5:15 left in the third quarter. Paul Reed was the leader of this run as he scored six of the 14 points.

Rebounding was also a key on this run, as the team collected 11 rebounds.

Starting at the 4:12 minute mark, it would be the Jordan Bone show as he scored all 11 of Delaware points to give his team a 97-79 lead after three-quarters of play. Bone made three shots from the three-point line during the last four minutes of the third quarter.

Delaware wins by 29

The Blue Coats would continue to pour on the points as the fourth quarter started with the team going on a 20-9 run, which pushed their lead to 117-88 with 5:38 left in the game. The duo of Julian Washburn and Jared Brownridge would score 12 of the 20 points on the run. Washburn and Brownridge each made two shots from the three-point line on the run.

In the last 4:47 minutes of the game, each team would score ten more points, but Delaware would take home a dominating 127-98 win.
