The Delaware Blue Coats made a move on the last day of 2018 as the team acquired guard Rashad Vaughn from the Texas Legends, the team announced Monday.
Along with Vaughn, the Blue Coats also acquired Legends 2019 third-round draft pick in exchange for player rights to guard Askia Booker and Delaware’s 2019 second-round draft pick.
The newest guard for the Blue Coats, Vaughn has played 28 games in the NBA G-League in his career and has averaged 12.5 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game and 23.3 minutes per game over three seasons.
Vaughn has played for the Westchester Knicks, Canton Charge and the Texas Legends in the G-League.
The Legends was Vaughn’s latest stop where averaged 13.4 points per game, four rebounds per game and 24.7 minutes per game in 21 games this season.
The 6 foot 5, 202 pound guard was drafted in 2015 draft by the Milwaukee Bucks with the number 17th overall pick.
In three seasons with the Bucks, Vaughn averaged 3.1 points per game, 1.1 rebounds per game, 12.3 minutes per game in 133 games.
Vaughn also played with the Orlando Magic and Brooklyn Nets in the 2017-2018 season.
In his collegiate career, Vaughn played at UNLV where he averaged 17.8 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game and 32.3 minutes per game in one season.
In his one season at UNLV, Vaughn was honored with Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year.
