Delaware 87ers To Hold Open Tryouts In Philly & Delaware

Do you have the skills on the court to make it in the pros?

If your answer was Yes, well the Delaware 87ers are looking for you.

The G-League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, the Delaware 87ers announced Tuesday they will hold two open tryouts in September.

The first will be at  Temple University’s McGonigle Hall In Philadelphia on Saturday, September 16th and tryout will be till 8am to 12 pm.

The second tryout will be held at Hockessin PAL Center in Delaware on Saturday, September 23 and this tryout will be from 8am to 1pm.

The participants of the tryouts will be evaluated by the Philadelphia 76ers and Delaware 87ers basketball operations staff and the staff will decide who gets a shot at a chance to be invited to Sevens Training Camp.

Each participant will receive a Sevens practice jersey and two tickets to a Sevens game for their upcoming 2017-18 NBA G League season.

How many players in the Sevens history have made it from the tryouts to training camp?…Well, 17 players from tryouts have made to the training camp in the team’s first four seasons. 11 of those players have made the Sevens opening night roster in the team’s first four seasons.

Late entries or day of entries will be charged $200.

All walk up payments must be  made by cash, money order or cashier’s check and made payable to Delaware 87ers.

The closing dates to register for both tryouts are:

Temple University: Friday, September 15th at 12pm

Hockessin PAL: Friday, September 22nd at 12pm
