The Blue Rocks showed some power out of their bats on Wednesday night in 13-2 series finale win vs the Salem Red Sox.
The star of the show for the Blue Rocks on Wednesday night was catcher Luis Villegas who had 5 RBIs and 2 home runs on the night. This brings Villegas season RBI total to 17.
Also on Wednesday, Brandon Downes continues to be an RBI machine for the Rocks who had just scored 5 RBIs on Monday, added three more to his season total of now 53.
The Rocks were 5 for 14 with runners in scoring position on Wednesday night and left 7 men on base in the game.
Not only did the hitting come alive but the pitching did too on the night.
Matt Tentua threw six scoreless innings with six hits, and three strikeouts vs the Red sox.
With the win Blue Rocks improve to 40-68 on the year.
