LOOK WHO IS BACK!!! The Delaware 87ers announced Monday that the team has  reacquired power forward/center Shawn Long. Long was definitely one of the most exciting and promising players on the 87ers in the 2016-2017 season. Long averaged  20 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 30 minutes per game in the 2016-2017 season. With those consistent double-doubles, Long  was awarded many honors in his time in the G-League including  a second team All NBA D-League selection, an Eastern Conference NBA D-League All-Star and NBA D-League Performer of the Week. Delaware 87ers Run Wild In 135-112 Win Vs The Wisconsin Herd

It may only be their third win of the season but this win showed that Delaware 87ers can pour on the points against their opponents if they want to. The Sevens won on the road 135-112 against the Wisconsin Herd at the Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. How did the 87ers get this dominating win against the Herd? Delaware 87ers Fall To 0-3 On the Season With A 117-90 Loss To Westchester

After a disappointing 113-111 home opener loss last night, the Delaware 87ers fell even further behind with another loss to the Westchester Knicks Tuesday night which ended 117-90. The loss is the Sevens third straight loss and it was Westchester’s third straight win on the road. Delaware fell behind early in this game 12-0 and really never could dig out of that hole. Delaware 87ers Drop Season Opener 118-109 vs Maine Red Claws

The G-League season officially started Friday and the Delaware 87ers battled it out on the road in the season opener vs the Maine Red Claws. The game was close throughout until the Red Claws took control in the final minutes of the game and gave themselves a 118-109 victory over Delaware. Sevens Acquire Shane Edwards

The Delaware 87ers announced Tuesday, they have acquired the rights of forward Shane Edwards. Edwards played collegiately  at University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he earned All-Sun Belt and first-team NABC All-District selection. The future Sevens player averaged 9 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist and 1 block in 23 minutes per game. Then the 6ft 7 forward declared for the draft in 2009, unfortunately Edwards would go undrafted but he did get picked by NBA D- League Albuquerque Thunderbirds ( now the Canton Charge) a couple months later.
