Philadelphia 76ers Hire Elton Brand As GM Of G-League Team Delaware 87ers

The Philadelphia 76ers announced Monday that former 76ers player Elton Brand has been named the General Manager of the Delaware 87ers, the Sixers NBA G League affiliate. After he retired last season, the 17 year NBA veteran joined the Sixers last year as a player-development consultant. Brand started  his journey in the NBA in 1999, when the Chicago Bulls chose him as the #1 pick of the draft. The former Duke player earned Co-Rookie of the Year with Steve Francis as Brand averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in his rookie season. Sevens Acquire Three-Time Dunk Champion Nate Robinson

The Delaware 87ers announced Wednesday that they have acquired NBA veteran and three-time NBA slam dunk champion Nate Robinson. Robinson played ten seasons in the NBA with several teams including  New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans.The 5ft 9 and 180 pound veteran averaged 11 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists,  and 1 steal in his ten years in the NBA. Walker’s 23 Points Lead Sevens To A 124-109 Win Over Bulls

The Delaware 87ers first game at the NBA D-League Showcase went pretty well as they picked up a win over the Windy City Bulls with a 129-109 score. Delaware is now 2-1 against the Bulls with one more meeting between the two teams. It all started in the first half where the Bulls quickly went up 5-0 in the early minutes of the game, thanks to an Aaron Thomas jump shot and an Alfonzo McKinnie three pointer. Sevens Hang On To Beat Bulls 121-117

The Delaware 87ers went into Chicago Saturday night and beat the Windy City Bulls 121-117. The Sevens have now won three games in a row and back to back victories on the road. This is the same team that could not buy a win on the road earlier in the season but now has won their last 5 out 6 games on the road. Sevens Lose 121-110 to the Windy City Bulls

The Delaware 87ers got swept up by the Windy City Bulls on Saturday night, losing 121-110. The Sevens now have a 0-3 record on the road this season. It all started with the Bulls going on a 10-0 run in the 1st quarter and they would keep the Sevens scoreless about to the 7:58 mark of the quarter.  Bulls Center Cristiano Felicio had 4 points and 3 rebounds during the 10-0 opening run.
