87ers Fall to Skyforce 115-103 For First Loss of the Season

The Delaware 87ers fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce 115-103  on Friday, for their first loss and road loss of the season. The Sevens was not in control of this game at all and played very inconsistent throughout the whole game. SkyForce had total control of this game and never lost the lead throughout the game. Sioux Falls had multiple double digits leads throughout the game which had the Sevens always playing catch up. Wizards Assign Danuel House to 87ers

The Washington Wizards announced Wednesday they have assigned  rookie power forward Danuel House to the Philadelphia 76ers D-League team the Delaware 87ers. House  who was undrafted out of Texas A&M , signed with the Wizards in July and has showed potential to be a great player with a strong summer league showing this past summer. Wizards just have not been using him lately  with House only making one appearance in a Wizards uniform in the regular season. Delaware 87ers beat Westchester 121-108 in Season Home Opener

The excitement was definitely in the air at the Bob Carpenter Center  in Newark, DE on Saturday Night when the Delaware 87ers opened up their season vs the West Chester Knicks  with 121- 108 win. In the first quarter the Sevens came out strong with hitting 5 for 9 shots in the paint and a 57 % FG average compared to the Knicks 31 %.  Center Shawn Long had 9 points in the first quarter for the Sevens helping them get a 7 point advantage in the first. Former 87er Jordan McRae wins a Ring with the Cleveland Cavaliers

    Jordan McRae has definitely had a whirlwind year with playing with six different teams this season in the NBA and NBA D-league but in the end he ended the season as a NBA champion with the Cavaliers. McRae played in 61 games 2015-2016 basketball season and spent majority of it playing for the Philadelphia 76ers D-League team, the Delaware 87ers. He played and started in all 29 games while he was with the 87ers and averaged 23.3 points per game which was fourth best in the D-league.
