Eugene Burroughs named new head coach for 87ers

  The Delaware 87ers announced Thursday that Eugene Burroughs will be their new head coach going into the 2016-2017 season. Burroughs comes from the Sevens affiliate the Philadelphia 76ers where he was a shooting coach for the past two seasons. Burroughs is a native of Philadelphia and went to high school at Episcopal Academy. Before joining the Sixers staff the Philly native coached at Penn State, Marist, Navy, American University, and Hofstra. Former 87er Jordan McRae wins a Ring with the Cleveland Cavaliers

    Jordan McRae has definitely had a whirlwind year with playing with six different teams this season in the NBA and NBA D-league but in the end he ended the season as a NBA champion with the Cavaliers. McRae played in 61 games 2015-2016 basketball season and spent majority of it playing for the Philadelphia 76ers D-League team, the Delaware 87ers. He played and started in all 29 games while he was with the 87ers and averaged 23.3 points per game which was fourth best in the D-league.
